Five Members of Congress
and an estimated 7,000 people turned out for Memorial Day at Houston
National Cemetery; a smaller but no less patriotic number turned out for
Memorial Day events in Galveston; and the Vietnam Veterans of America
Watchfire on the Texas City Dike attracted hundreds of people over the
three days of the event and the preparations leading up to it.
