Mrs.
Ruby Turner, 92, departed this life on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Gulf
Health Care Center in Galveston.
She was born October 10, 1914 in Bryan,
Texas to Oscar Pierce and Alberta
Wilson.
Mrs.
Turner was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Oscar Pierce, Jr., sister,
Artie Mae Washington and her loving husband for over 40 years, Mr. Willie
Turner. She is survived by her God-sister, Myrtle-Lee Rhone and family, Robin
Rhone, Raven Rhone and Vanessa Guidry; devoted care-provider and church member,
Canzetta Hollis-Johnson of Texas City, longtime church members and friends,
Alice Guidry, Lorenzo Matthews, Mary Frances West, Leroy and Verna Taylor, Eddie
and N.E. Robinson and the Macedonia Church Family of Galveston.
Mrs.
Turner was an active member of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Galveston for
over 50 plus years under the leadership of the late Rev. T. J. Anderson and
present pastor A. W. Colbert.
Special

support.
Funeral
services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 207 at Wynn Funeral
Home with Pastor A. W. Colbert officiating. There will not be a wake. Viewing of
the body will take place on Friday morning prior to the service. Burial
will follow at Lakeview
Cemetery
in Galveston.
