Gustavo “Gus” “Tavin” Mireles

GALVESTON - Gustavo “Gus” “Tavin” Mireles, Jr.,33, of Galveston died on Sunday, February 4, 2007.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be officiated at 7:00 pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas.
Gustavo was born December 19, 1973 to Gustavo Mireles, Sr. and Lily A. Mireles. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He was dedicated to his children. He loved playing sports and other hobbies like softball, football, fishing, poker and riding horses. He was head coach of Los Diablos for the past 10 years and often went to Saltillo, Mexico to be in the trail ride they had twice a year.
He leaves behind his three loving children, Mauricio (Misio), Viviana (Vivi) and Sofia (Sofi) of Texas City; parents, Gustova, Sr. and Lily of Galveston; brother, Richard Mireles of Galveston; sister Ana M. Domingues and husband Jamie of Galveston; niece, Jackelyn Dominguez of Galveston; uncle, Pepe Aguirre and wife Maria of Galveston; aunt Mine Mireles of Galveston; cousins, Nora Mireles and Pati Calderon and children of Santa Fe; cousin, Maria Abrego and family of Houston; cousin, Minerva Vargas and family of Galveston; God Parents; uncles and cousins from the valley; aunts and uncles and cousins from Mexico and numerous friends.
