Ralph Earl Breland
Emken-Linton Funeral Home

Ralph Earl Breland, 68, passed away February 14, 2007 at his home in Santa Fe, Texas.

He was born September 12, 1938 in Biloxi, MS to Beason and Theo Breland.  Ralph lived most of his life in Galveston County.  He graduated from Hitchcock High School.  He and his wife owned and operated Breland Pest Control Company in Hitchcock, TX.  He was active in Galveston County Rotary Club, Little League Baseball, Hitchcock Red Raiders, Hitchcock Chamber of Commerce, Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, local politics and every activity his kids participated in.  He was an active member and sang in the choir of his church, Arcadia First Baptist Church.  He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leo Breland and sister Madge Munn.  Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia Breland: adult children Roxanne Fowles (husband Richard), Tracy Macey (husband Chris), Russell Craig Breland (wife Katie), Steve Breland (wife Tracie); ten grandchildren, Chris and Justin Fowles, Blake Christensen, Tamra and Bradley Macey, Steven, Chelsie, Wesley, Ashley and Brittany Breland; brothers Pat, Jerry, Jimmy Dale and Rick Breland; sisters Betty Smith and Edith Roach; and many other family members and beloved friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.  

His family will receive friends on Friday, February 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expwy., Texas City, Texas.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, at 2 p.m. at Arcadia First Baptist Church, 14828 Hwy. 6, Santa Fe, Texas, with Dr. Rick Smith presiding.  Burial service will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. 

Pallbearers will be Craig and Steve Breland, Christopher and Justin Fowles, Chris Macey and Blake Christensen.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Macey and Wesley Breland.
