Evangeline Dorothy "Dot" FisherMrs. Evangeline Dorothy “Dot” Fisher passed from this life Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at her home.

Born February 11, 1919 in Morgan City, Louisiana, Mrs. Fisher had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1966, previously of LaPorte, Pearland and Galveston.  She was a dedicated homemaker, served in the United States Army during WWII and was life member of the VFW Post #5400 and the Ladies Auxiliary where she had served as former Judge Advocate.  Mrs. Fisher had attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and enjoyed playing poker, blackjack and was an avid bingo player.

She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Joseph Bartholmey; parents, Louis H. and Bertha C. (Chauvin) Cram; husband, Frank Fisher; brothers, Bobby Cram, L.J. Cram, George Cram and William Cram.

 

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, G. M. and Shirley Bartholmey, Jr. of Santa Fe, Edward Louis and Martha Bartholmey of League City, Stephen J. and Judith Bartholmey of LaPorte, Chris W. and Wilma Bartholmey of Santa Fe, Paul L. and Susan Bartholmey of Bayview; sisters, Betty J. (Cram) Lynn and husband, Clinton of Franklin, Sylvia A. Hanson Johnson of Texas City; sisters-in-law, Claria (Cram) Adorie of LaMarque, Jerrie Cram of Galveston, Frances Cram of California; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Mr. Randy Miller officiating.  Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

Casketbearers will be Mike Bartholmey, Christopher Bartholmey, Stephen Batholmey, Sr., Chris W. Bartholmey, Paul L. Bartholmey and Stephen Bartholmey, Jr.

Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
