Dolores Frances Schoomer Magliolo, 83, of
Galveston, passed away Friday, February 23,
2007, at Kingsland Care Center in Kingsland,
Texas.
The family will receive visitors after 5:00
pm, Monday, February 26th, at
Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday,
February 27th, at Malloy & Son
Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Dorman
officiating. Burial will follow the service
at Calvary Cemetery in Galveston.
Dolores was born July 10, 1923 in Galveston
and graduated from Ball High School. She
was a loving wife and homemaker who enjoyed
cooking, sewing, playing cards, and being
with her family. Dolores was a member of
Central United Methodist Church, where she
served as treasurer of the United Methodist
Women for many years. She also volunteered
at Turner Geriatric Center.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband,
Alfred D. Magliolo; her parents, Myrtle and
Dewey Schoomer; brother, Raymond Schoomer;
and granddaughter, Lynn Magliolo.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia
Sorensen and husband, David; sons, Alfred
Magliolo and wife, Kathy; and Jerry Magliolo
and wife, Stella; sisters, Esther Beveridge
and husband, Wiley; and Elaine Wegner;
grandchildren: Steve Sorensen, Michael
Magliolo, Angela Magliolo, and Anne Magliolo;
step-grandchildren: Cliff Conant, Caleb
Conant, Trace Evans, and Rosie Evans; great
grandchildren, Taylor Sorensen and Brett
Sorensen; and special friends, Darnell Russo
and Sheila Kern.
Pallbearers will be Steve Sorensen, Michael
Magliolo, Cliff Conant, Rick Glassett,
Michael Wegner, and William Brick. Caleb
Conant will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
