Thomas Wayne Migliavacca, 58, died February
28, 2007 as a result of injuries sustained
from a fall on February 6, 2007. He passed
away peacefully with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at Grace
Episcopal Church Monday, March 5, 2007 at
10:00 A.M, The Reverend Paul Wehner
officiating. Burial will follow at the
Veterans
Memorial
Cemetery
in
Houston. Visitation
will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 4th, at Carnes Brothers
Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont,
Galveston,
Texas.
Tommy was born to Clem and Dorothy Bremer
Migliavacca on May 31, 1948 in
Galveston. He
graduated from
Ball
High School and volunteered
to serve in the U.S. Marines from 1969 thru
1971. He proudly served in
Viet Nam
and was recognized with the National Defense
Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal,
the Rifle Sharpshooters Badge, the Vietnam
Service Medal, the RVN Cross of Gallantry,
and the Good Conduct Medal. Tommy earned the
rank of Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp,
which was one of his proudest
accomplishments.
After the service he worked for the City of
Galveston
for a number of years and then went to the
Dallas/Ft. Worth area and worked
for the City of
Euless. He always
loved horses and became involved in ranching
north of Dallas
and was foreman for a horse ranch for
several years then spent most of the rest of
his life in the
Abilene
/Cross Plains area where the accident
occurred.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Marla
Migliavacca-Roy and his granddaughter
Kaitlyn King of Galveston, three sisters,
Patricia J. Brown (Stanley) of Galveston,
Diane Mott (Jim) , Sue Marrs (Wayne) from
Euless, Texas, and one brother, Robert
Migliavacca (Annette) of O�Fallon,
Missouri. He has four nieces, Deborah
Pearcy (Richard), Dorothy Vidal (Joe), Tammy
Palmer (Jay), and Casey Migliavacca. And
seven nephews, Bill McNeel, Jr. (Lisa), Nick
Bowen, Wayne Marrs, Jr. (Terry), Charles
Marrs (Tammy), Bobby Migliavacca, Tony
Migliavacca (Michelle), Stanley Brown, Jr. (Lenette)
and many great nieces and nephews.
Tommy is also survived by a devoted friend
Winona in
Abilene
and many friends in the Cross Plains area.
Pallbearers are Dustin Hinyard, Nick Bowen,
Rick Pearcy, Jim Migliavacca, Joe Vidal and
Julian Migliavacca. Honorary pallbearers
are Charles W. Kenworthey, Jr., Charles
Marrs, Wayne Marrs, Jr., Stanley Brown, Jr.,
Drew Pearcy and Bill McNeel.
The family expresses their deep appreciation
for the thoughts, prayer support and the
giving spirit of their friends and family
during this difficult time especially the
loving care given by Deborah Pearcy.

request any memorials be made to: Grace

Galveston,
Texas
or Vista Care Hospice in
Lubbock that made
Tommy�s last days peaceful.
