Talmadge "Pop" McClain, 43, departed this life on Monday, February 26, 2007, at his residence in Port Arthur after a courageous battle with cancer.
Talmadge was born June 16, 1963, in Galveston, Texas to Talmadge Bryant and Mae Esther McClain. He attended public school in Galveston and has been a longtime resident of Port Arthur. He was employed as a certified nurse assistant in the healthcare field.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward McClain and sister Tina McClain.
He leaves to cherish memories with his wife Janice McClain; sons, Travon McClain of Port Arthur, Ja-Velle McClain of Florida; daughter, Tamisha McClain of Miami, FL; grandchildren; Ta-Myah McClain and Zachariah Murphy; devoted sister, Janet McClain of Dallas, TX; devoted friend, Rachel Scott; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will begin at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 3, 2007, followed by a service celebrating his life at 2:00 PM in the chapel of E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary with Pastor Nathaniel McDaniel, officiating. He will be laid to rest in LakeviewCemetery.
