Vanessa Wells Siverand

Vanessa Wells Siverand. 51, received her reward of eternal rest on the very day that she celebrated her birth, March 1, 2007, at her residence.

Vanessa was born March 1, 1956, in Galveston, Texas to Mathew Edwards and Doris Wells. She attended public school in Galveston and was a1973 graduate of Ball High School. She was employed in several different fields, but mainly with the TXDOT-Ferry Division and UTMB Hospital before she had to medically retire.

Vannesa leaves her life legacy to live on in her three sons, Edmon J. Wells (Christina) of Galveston, Eric Wells (Regina) and Jontue Siverand (Tameka) both of Houston; her grandchildren, Kanesha, Jasmine, Tori, Keeshon, JoNae and Edmon, Jr.; her parents, Doris Venters (Walter), Mathew Edwards (Marion) and Henry Venters all of Galveston; brothers, Norris Venters (Debra), Douglas Venters, Ernest Wells and Tyrone Edwards; sisters, Kathy Venters (Tony), Dora Venters (Michael), Yolanda Edwards and Monica Edwards; devoted friend Ralph James and Kevin Finley; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 4PM on today, March 6th, followed by a wake from 7-8 PM at E R Johnson Family Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at Mt Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Norris D. Burkley, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
