Elisha “Eli” Paul Elliott
Carnes Brothers Funeral Home

Elisha “Eli” Paul Elliott , age 26, of Santa Fe died Saturday, March 3, 2007 while fishing with his best friend, David Cox on Lake Sam Rayburn. Combined funeral services for Eli and David will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2007 at LivingFaithOutreachChurch, 3700 Deats Road, Dickinson with Reverend Dr. Sidney Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow at GalvestonMemorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the GulfCoastFoursquareChurch, 7801 Burns Hitchcock, Texas.

Born November 28, 1980 in Webster, Texas to John Leonard Elliott, Jr. and Patricia Ann Parker Elliott, Eli was a 1999 graduate of Gulf Coast Christian Academy. He received his EMT and Firefighter Certification and was currently employed with the Miken Company at the B.P. Plant in Texas City as a safety inspector. He was a member of the GulfCoastFoursquareChurch where his dad is the pastor. He was an outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed everything outdoors including, motorcycling, four wheeling, horses, working on his home and was a real animal lover. Eli recently became engaged to Jeneva Sawyer and began adoption procedures because he was looking forward to being Mason’s father.   

Survivors include his parents, Reverend John L. and Patricia Elliott, Jr. of Hitchcock; grandparents, John L. and Betty Elliott, Sr. of Branson, Missouri; grandfather, George C. Parker, Jr. of La Marque; grandmother, Ann Parker Beeson and husband Bill of Baytown; sister, Elisabeth Louise Elliott of Hitchcock;  brother, John L. Elliott, III and wife Lynzey of Santa Fe; nephew, Morgan Elliott of Santa Fe; fiancé, Jeneva Sawyer and her son, George Mason Sawyer of Dickinson; his dog, Rowdy and cat L.T., numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers are David Elliott, Bryan Lee, Brian Abschneider, Daniel Elliott, Daryl Elliott, Paul Trevino.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the George Mason Sawyer Educational Fund in C/O GulfCoastFourSquareChurch, 7801 Burns, Hitchcock, Texas77563.
