Loretta Nelson Gaspard Mrs. Loretta Nelson Gaspard passed from this life Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Texas City.

Born January 9, 1935 in Laurel, Mississippi, Mrs. Gaspard had been a resident of Algoa for 40 years, previously of Galveston.  She had enjoyed playing music, crocheting, cooking growing plants and was of the Baptist faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rennis and Lulu Mae (Musgrove) Nelson; sisters, Helen McWilliams, Faye Garza, Eva Craven; brothers, Charles, Pat and Gail.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 54 years, Edwin Gaspard, Sr., sons, Edwin Gaspard, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Santa Fe, Ricky Laine Gaspard and wife, Jill Anne of Milton, FL; daughters, Sharon Lynn Watson and husband, Kenneth Wayne of Texas City, Cynthia Marie Gaspard and fianci, Randy Chapman of Texas City; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Virgie Renfro of Dickinson.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in
the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating.  A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
