Robert E. Crockett
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Robert E. CrockettRobert E. Crockett, 77, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.

Robert was born April 20, 1929, in Wiergate, Texas to Limmie and Primus Crockett. He was a longtime resident of Houston and was retired from J. J. Marc, Inc..  He was a retired U. S. Army sergeant. During his tour of duty he received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James and John Crockett; sisters, Pearl Crockett, Esther Shankle and Emma Lee Tyler; nephew, James E. Kelly; niece, Carolyn Crockett.

Robert is survived by his wife, Earnestine Crockett; sisters, Mary Nash, Lee Crockett, Justine Young and Johanna Shankle (Ceauthary); sister in law, Patricia Crockett; a loving God daughter, Katina Young; God son, Robert Mayfield; caring and devoted nieces, Diane Thompson and Rose Marie Bennett (great niece); dedicated friends, Jack Hardy and Rodger DeNeen; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at the New Hope Baptist Church in Kirbyville, TX. Burial will follow at Withers Cemetery in Fairview, TX under the direction of E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary.
