Marie L. TellerMrs. Marie L. Teller passed from this life Thursday, March 15, 2007, at her home.

Born January 1, 1925, Mrs. Teller had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1971, previously of Galveston, where she was born and raised.  She had worked at the Galveston Daily News for 27 years as a PBX operator and was a familiar voice to many throughout the years.  She attended Maranatha Christian Church in Santa Fe, was a member of FOE Aerie 3789 in Santa Fe and had enjoyed bowling on a league for over 20 years.  She also enjoyed cooking and working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Charlene Marie Teller; brothers, Joseph and Elmer; sisters, Gladys and Evelyn.

Survivors include her son, Charles E. Teller and wife, Sheri of Hitchcock; granddaughter, Jerri Rosenboom and husband, John; great-grandchildren, John Rosenboom, II, Jared Rosenboom, Chelsea Rosenboom, Colby Rosenboom. 

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend Alex Yovan officiating.
