In Remembrance
Dr. Elizabeth (Budgie) Hollamon
Memorial Service for Galveston

A memorial service celebrating the life of Dr. Elizabeth (Budgie) Hollamon is planned for Sunday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m.  The service will be at Trinity Episcopal Church located at 2216 Ball Street in Galveston.  The Reverend Ronald D. Pogue, Rector, will officiate, and The Reverend David Dearman, Head of School, will preach.  Current students from the school will assist in various ways and the school’s Glee Club (student choir) will be present.  A reception will follow in Eaton Hall.

Dr. Hollamon was Headmistress of Trinity Episcopal School from 1970 until 1994.  All people whose lives were touched by this remarkable lady are urged to attend the memorial service to give thanks for her contribution to Galveston and to honor her memory.  Budgie is fondly remembered for her dedicated leadership as an educator.  She leaves a legacy of love with former students, alumni, parents, teachers and community leaders who witnessed her commitment to the education of mind, body and spirit.  She died following a long illness on March 6, 2007, at her home in Seguin, Texas.
