Oliver Gordon “Dutch” Lueck
Hayes Funeral Home

Mr. Oliver Gordon “Dutch” Lueck passed from this life Friday, March 23, 2007, in Texas City.

Born September 2, 1923 in Stratford, Wisconsin, Mr. Lueck had been a resident of Texas City for 52 years.  He had been employed as a Merchant Marine for 39 years, served in the US Navy, was a member of North Side Baptist Church, Texas City Masonic Lodge #1185 AF and AM, the Scottish Rite and the York Rite in Galveston.  Dutch was well liked by his neighbors, which he was thankful for all they did for him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucia R. Lueck; parents, Wilhem Julius and Marie Lueck; 3 brothers; 2 sisters and is survived by his son, Karl Fredich Lueck and wife, Beverly of Oregon; grandson, Aaron Lueck; special friends, Rosie and Ben Guzman of Texas City, Joshua Guzman, Michael Guzman, Manuel Garcia and Steven Garcia.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Mr. Homer Nelson officiating.  Interment will follow with Masonic Rights at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.


Casketbearers will be fellow Masons from the Texas City Masonic Lodge #1185 AF and AM.
