Norma Jean O'RourkeMrs. Norma Jean O’Rourke passed from this life Sunday, April 8, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born June 21, 1935 in Decatur, IL, Mrs. O’Rourke had been a resident of Santa Fe for over 35 years.  She had been employed as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 10 years, had been a member of Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson and AKC Kennel Club.  She had raised and raced greyhounds, enjoyed making and collecting porcelain and ceramic dolls, an avid coin collector and especially loved her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Greer and stepfather, William P. Murphy.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 44 years, Thomas P. O’Rourke; son, Donald Scott Daly and wife, Teresa Anne of Santa Fe; daughter, Mary Alisa Patrick and husband, Frederick of Omega Bay; grandchildren, Jason Scott Daly, Melanie Munoz, Patrick Allen Daly, Thomas Bane Patrick, Aaron Scott Daly, Taylor Leigh Patrick, Tiffani Elise Patrick; mother, Mary Esther Murphy of Santa Fe.

A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.  www.hayesfuneralhome.com
