 Aline Ann King, age 63, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Abundant Life Church, Reverend Arnold Morton officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Aline was born May 5, 1943 in Leggett, Texas to Harvey Hickman and Dovie Mabel Murphy Hickman. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family. She was an excellent seamstress and the manager of the Lone Star Cleaners. She was a faithful member of Abundant Life Church in Galveston.
Mrs. King is preceded in death by her parents, and a great granddaughter, Tiffani Elizabeth Puentes. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Freddie Delvin King of Galveston; daughters, Star M. King of Fort Madison, Iowa, and Leta Flanagan and husband Donald of Dickinson; sons, Freddie E. King of Galveston, Harvey E. King and wife Jeanne of the Woodlands, Delvin L. King of Jasper, and Landron B. King of Hitchcock; sister, Wanda Chance and husband Jerry of Mississippi; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, adoptive daughters, Shirley James of Galveston, and Wendy Trapani of Fort Madison, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Teresa King of Galveston; numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Freddie L. King, Richard E. King, Delvin N. Rodriguez, Joshua Proctor, Ismael Balvantin, and Santiago Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Micheal Weldon and Cesar Leiva.
