Mrs. Phyllis Dellarte JordanMrs. Phyllis Dellarte Jordan passed from this life Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in Texas City.

Born December 28, 1912 in Corsicana, TX, Mrs. Jordan had been a resident of Santa Fe for 75 years, previously of Corsicana and Galveston.  She had been the owner and operator of Jordan’s Variety Store for over 30 years, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Alter Society and Friendship Club, T.O.P.S., Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and Hitchcock Home Demonstration Club. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe A. Jordan; son, Kelly V. Jordan; parents; brother, Sabastian Dellarte; sister, Margaret Palermo.
Survivors include her daughter, Josie Martorell and husband, Edward “Butch” of Santa Fe; daughter-in-law, Rita Jordan of La Porte; grandchildren, Lisa Monroe and husband, Eric, Michael Martorell, Jay Jordan and wife, Karen, Ginger McEachern; great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Monroe, Joshua Jordan, Kortney Jordan, Jordan McEachern, Hunter McEachern; sister-in-law, Camella Jordan of Santa Fe; special friend of the family, Betty Philo; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
 
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Reverend John Kappe, Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Jay Jordan, Kelly J. Jordan, Larry Jordan, Eric Monroe, Michael Martorell and Eddie Tombrella.  Honorary bearer will be Joe Kelly Tombrella.
Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m., Deacon Harold Eskew officiating.
 
Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Building Fund and/or Our Lady of Lourdes Compassion Committee, 10114 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563.
