George Dantzler
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary
George Dantzler, 87, departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at UTMB Hospital.
George was born on January 1, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois to Leonard and Amelia Dantzler both whom preceded him in death. He later moved to Galveston where he became employed as a cook. He prepared costless meals and menus in his service as a Chef/Cook at the Galvez Hotel for over 50 years and also over ten years at the Texas A & M College campus in Galveston. His loving spirit will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish memories loving wife, Goldie Dantzler; sons, Henry Dantzler and Aaron Clemons; daughter, Pauline Sephus; stepdaughters, Maudry Christian and Dorothy Anderson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 23rd, followed by a service celebrating his life at 11:00 AM in the chapel of E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. A. W. Colbert, officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mainland Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
