Mr. Richard Joseph Greenley passed from this life Thursday evening, May 24, 2007, at his home.

Born December 31, 1951 in Morris, Illinois, Mr. Greenley had been a resident of Santa Fe for 20 years, previously of Morris.  He had worked as a crane-operating engineer with Operating Engineer’s Local 450 for many years.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting when he was not riding his Harley, tinkering with cars or remodeling his home.  He traveled extensively and especially enjoyed his bike trips to Sturgis, South Dakota.

Preceded in death by his father, Ole and son, Dustin, survivors include his wife, Cathy Kamradt-Greenley of Santa Fe; son, Richard of Washington; daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel and Richard Wolf of Morris, IL, Sarah and John Gosch of Webster, Rebecca and Chris Penuel of Texas City; mother, Frances Simpson of Morris, IL; brothers, Ole of Iowa and Chris of IL; sisters, JoAnn Chalus, Kathileen Kundson, Mary Black and Karen Maskel, all of IL and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Fruland Funeral Home in Morris, Illinois, preceded by visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.
