Benjamin F. Hill, 100, of Galveston, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007, at UTMB Hospital.  He was born June 24, 1906 in Beaumont, Texas.  Bennie was loved by all who knew him.  He was a stranger to no one and brought happiness and cheer everywhere he went.  His kindness, generosity, and loving spirit made the world a better place and it is sadder for his passing.  He will be sorely missed.  We love you, Papa.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Agnes, he is survived by his daughter, Gretchen Hill Thompson, granddaughter, Kara Annette Dlabal and husband Paul William Dlabal, and great granddaughter Jacey Marie Dlabal.

Family will receive visitors at 6:00 pm Sunday followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
