Frank Walter JacksonMr. Frank Walter Jackson passed from this life Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in Texas City.

Born April 1, 1948 in Swabisch Gmund, Germany, Mr. Jackson had been a resident of Texas City for most of his life.  He was a 1966 graduate of Ball High School and had worked in construction for various refineries until his disability in 1979.  A longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus – Babin Council in La Marque, Frank was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan who loved his family (especially his grandkids) and enjoyed spending time fishing, bowling and gambling.  Frank was one of those special people who never met a stranger, was always outgoing and full of zest.  He will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Charles Jackson and is survived by his loving wife of over 23 years, Rose Ann (Guerra) Jackson; son, Ryan Daniel Jackson of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Jessica Fleener and husband, Ray of Texas City, Erica Rocha of Texas City; his four legged son, Rocky (Schnauzer/Dachshund); grandchildren, Valerie Raye, Aubrey Ann and Casey Andrew Fleener; mother, Else Jackson of Texas City; brothers, Robert Charles Jackson and wife, JoAnn of Texas City, John Rowland Jackson and wife, Judy of Carrollton; sister, Jannette Else McGill and husband, Harry of Bacliff; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Reverend John Kappe, Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.  Vigil services will begin 7:00 p.m. with Sister Mary Anne Hollmann officiating followed by a rosary by the Guadalupanas and the A. C. T. S. brothers/sisters.

Casketbearers will be A. J. Alexander, John Brumlow, Ray Fleener, Frank Jackson, John Jackson and Erick McGill.  Honorary bearer will be Brian Jackson.

The family would like to express a special thank you to all of Mr. Jackson’s caregivers, doctors and nurses over the years.
