Lee Edna Crockett
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Lee Edna CrockettMs. Lee Edna Crockett, 74, received her reward of eternal rest on Sunday, June 24, 2007, at her residence.

Lee Edna was born on December 14, 1932, in Wiergate, Texas to Limmie and Primus Crockett. Lee Edna attended school in Indian Hill and Kirbyville, Texas. She accepted Christ at a young age and attended New HopeBaptistChurch in Kirbyville, Texas. She later moved to Galveston and became a member of the SunlightBaptistChurch. She was an employee of the ARA Dietary Department at UTMB for over 30 years until her retirement in 1986. Lee Edna was a loving and caring person, who was very quiet and soft spoken.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James, John David and Robert Crockett; sisters, Pearl Crockett, Esther Shankle and Emma Lee Tyler; nephew, James Earl Kelly; and niece, Carolyn Ann Crockett.

Lee Edna leaves to cherish memories of her life with her children, Charles Crockett (Brenda), Olevia Chavez (Gerard) and Lisa Jackson (Billy); grandchildren, Andre, Adrian, Kenneth and Joseph Crockett, Cathleen Fight (Jerald), Christina Barrientos (Edgar), Courtney Johnson and Derrick Smith (Carmila); nineteen great grandchildren; sisters, Mary B. Nash, Justine Young and Johanna Shankle (Ceauthary); sisters-in-law, Patricia Crockett, Earnestine Crockett; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will begin at 4PM on today, June 27th, followed by a wake from 7-8PM at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at the SunlightBaptistChurch with Pastor A.C. Tryon officiating. She will be laid to rest in LakeviewCemetery.
