ROTARY CLUB OF BEAUMONT AND BOY SCOUTS HONOR JULY 4
The Rotary Club of Beaumont and the Boy Scouts of America will deliver and pick up American Flags to hundreds of
Southeast Texas homes and businesses on Wednesday, July 4 from 5:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
"Show Your Colors" is a partnership of these two organizations to honor our country and flag during six holidays of the
year. Members of the Rotary Club of Beaumont, the world's 60th largest club, deliver the flags and Boy Scouts, thru the
Three Rivers Council, take each flag down before dark.
"Show Your Colors" has been on-going for 5 years and has come to symbolize love of country and support of our troops.
"It is so inspiring to see members of the Rotary Club out at 5:00 a.m. quietly delivering hundreds of flags across town.
When these residents or business people get up Wednesday morning, the first thing they see in their yard or place of b
usiness is an American flag," says Angela Baker, President of the Rotary Club of Beaumont. "At dusk, these same flags
have been safely picked up by young men from the Boy Scouts."
