Carol Ann “Honeyma” Kunz passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007.
The former Mrs. Galveston and mother of ten has left this earth for a higher plane. There she will no doubt carry on the life of love and fun that she had so keenly mastered here. We expect her to bake cakes, lead scouts, host endless parties, volunteer her time, charm children, inspire others, and work tirelessly into the wee hours of every night, sleepless with love and lists of things to do.
We say goodbye to the body of Honeyma but not the spirit, which lives multiplied in her husband of 56 years, Jerome; her children Jerri, Judy, Jerome, John, James, Joseph, Jeannie, Jeffrey, Jennifer, and Jason; their partners and the grandchildren; their partners and the great grandchildren; and thousands of friends and admirers.
We regret the youngest of us will never know her, never experience a Christmas through her, never hear her loud voice or enjoy her innocence and unbridled creativity. We are sorry for anyone who never had the chance to meet and love this complex and loving character; our wife, mother, and friend: the legendary Honeyma.
In lieu of flowers, Honeyma requests your support of her favorite charities: Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, or Meals on Wheels.
Honeyma’s family will receive visitors after 4:00 pm, Tuesday, July 24th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, July 25th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Niall Nolan as Celebrant. At Honeyma’s request, a big fun reception will follow. Colorful dress encouraged!
