Maria M. Rodriguez

Maria M. RodriguezMaria M. Rodriguez, 92, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Gulf Health Care Center in Galveston.

 

Maria was born September 9, 1914, in Monterrey, Mexico.  She and her husband resided in Galveston for over 60 years.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fermin Rodriguez.  She is survived by her daughter, Maria D. and husband, Marciano Izaguirre, of Galveston; granddaughters: Ruth Hernandez, of California, Norma Gutierrez and husband, Jorge, of Galveston; Sandra Alvarado and husband, Martin, Sr., of Dickinson; grandson, Marcos Hernandez and wife, Laura, of California; great grandchildren: Jose Antonio (Tony) Gutierrez and wife, Natalie; Joaquin Gutierrez and wife, Darlene; Naomi Shinnick; Michael McCormick, all of California; George Gutierrez and wife, Dina, of Galveston; Javier Gutierrez and Jessica, of Galveston; Daniel Gutierrez and wife, Cherise, of Texas City; Israel Carrera and wife, Gloria, of Dickinson; Marty Alvarado, Jr. and wife, Lauren, of San Antonio; David Alvarado and wife, Karina, of Texas City; Marcos J. Hernandez; Victor Hernandez, and Noelani Hernandez, all of Arizona; great great grandchildren: Gabriella Carrera, Julie Gutierrez, Chelsea Gutierrez, Mariah Gutierrez, Alesandra Hernandez, Trey Alvarado, Diego Gutierrez, and Teyo Gutierrez.

 

Pallbearers will be George Gutierrez, Javier Gutierrez, Daniel Gutierrez, Israel Carrera, David Alvarado, and Martin Alvarado, Sr.  Honorary pallbearers will be Marcos Hernandez, Marciano Izaguirre, and Jorge Gutierrez.

 

Visitation for friends and family will begin at 5:00 pm, Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, in Galveston.  A rosary will be held at 7:30 pm.

 

Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Monday, July 30th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the service at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.
