Carnes Brothers Funeral Home

George FaulkGeorge Faulk, 88, of Galveston, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at his residence in Galveston.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 10, 2007 at West Point Baptist Church, with Rev. Kerry Tillmon officiating. Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 9, 2007 with a wake from 7:00 pm  to 8:00 pm.

George was born October 8, 1918 in Dolthan, Alabama to Simon and Lulie Wright Faulk. He was a member of West Point Baptist Church, was a WWII veteran serving in the Army, was retired from UTMB, was a member of I.L.A. and loved to fish, play dominoes, cards and socialize with friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Patsy Jordan of Galveston, Barbara Owens of Los Angeles and Charlotte Mason of Galveston; son, George Faulk of Galveston; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be members and friends of the family.
