Ebony Patrice Shinette

Ebony Patrice ShintetteEbony Patrice Shinette, 18, life's earthly journey came to a close on Sunday, September 2, 2007.
Ebony was born on March 18, 1989, in Galveston, Texas. She attended public school in La Marque where she was a member of the ROTC. She was baptized at an early age by the Rev. Paul Wingate at the Progressive Baptist Church in Galveston. She served as a youth usher, in the choir, and with the Drill team. Ebony was presently employed with Moody Gardens and was a fun and loving person.
Ebony was preceded in death by her stepfather, Julius Turner; grandparents, Francis Shinette; Mildred Gallow and Junius Shinette, Sr.. She leave with cherished memories,  her parents, Bessie Turner of LaMarque, and Patrick Gallow (Carla) of Galveston; her siblings, Robert and LaToya Shinette; grandmother, Ethel Turner; nephew, Ja’Car Shinette; niece, Sa’Niya Shinette; devoted friends, Chitria and Nicole; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 10th followed by a wake from 7-8 p.m. at E R Johnson Family Mortuary.  A service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Compton Memorial COGIC with Pastor Robert E. Woodard III officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
