Vincent “Man” Mullins, Sr.

Vincent "Man" Mullins, Sr.Vincent “Man” Mullins, Sr., 75, departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at Gulf Health Care Center in Galveston.

Vincent was born September 8, 1932, in Opelousas, LA to Delmar, Sr. and Juanita Bell Mullins. A longtime resident of Galveston, he was retired from Todd Shipyard and was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he served with the breakfast committee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brother and four sisters.

He leaves with cherished memories his sons, Vincent Mullins, Jr.; Floyd Mullins; Michael Mullins; John Wayne Bates; Bernard Barkley, and Dannon Wafer; daughter, Cynthia Wilson; four grandchildren; brother, Jeffery Mullins, Sr.; sister, Beatrice Mullins; devoted nephews, Patrick Mullins, Sr., and David Mullins, Sr.; devoted niece, Linda Mullins-Pines; sister in law, Marilyn Ruth Mullins; devoted friends, Deacon Otha Ross; T. Williams, and Corine Joshua; a host of other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

Special thanks to A-Med Hospice staff and Dr. Willis of the UTMB Oncology Dept.

Viewing will be held from 4-8p.m. on Friday, September 28th, at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at the Jerusalem Baptist Church with Pastor A.S. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview cemetery
