Henry Lee Davis
E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Henry Lee DavisTEXAS CITY-Henry Lee Davis, 52, departed this life on Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Mainland Medical Center.

Henry was born October 8, 1954, in Corpus Christi, TX to Clarence, Sr. and Alice Brookin Davis. Henry attended public school in Galveston and was a 1973 graduate of Ball High School. He was employed with the Transitional Learning Center in the maintenance department. He was also avid mechanic, who enjoyed helping others get back on the road.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence Davis.

He leaves with cherished memories a devoted wife, Lillie Davis of Texas City; stepmother, Lillie Davis of Corpus Christi, TX; brothers, Clarence T. Davis, Jr.,; Odell Davis, and Curtis Davis all of Texas City; sisters, Linda Jo Davis of Angleton; Betty Fontenot Jenkins, and Alice Marie Green both of Galveston; Evelyn Joyce Davis, and Anita Faye Bangera both of Texas City; step sisters, Cathy Davis, and Sylvia Jackson both of Corpus Christi, TX; aunt, Josephine Cooper of Rosharon, TX; devoted niece, Yolanda Davis; mother in law, Georgia Jones; devoted friends, Cecil Jones, Curtis Cole and Robert Williams (Betty); extended family, the Bonner’s of Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA; Newark, NJ, and California; host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Viewing will begin at 4p.m. on Friday, October 5th, followed by a wake from 7-8 p.m. at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Baptist Church with Pastor Louis Simpson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
