James “Jimmy” L. Williams III

James "Jimmy" L. Williams, III GALVESTON - James “Jimmy” L. Williams III, 52, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007. He was born on July 5, 1955, in Fayetteville, North Carolina.    

Jimmy took pride in everything he did, whether it was work, coaching/watching his sons play baseball, spending time with his daughter, or loving his beautiful wife. He strived to give his children the best life possible and lived life to the fullest, touching many hearts along the way. He always kept a positive outlook on life and influenced others to do the same.

As founder and owner of Father & Son Construction Co. for 25 years, he had many loyal clients who could always depend on them for their repair or remodeling projects. Also, as a faithful member of The Church of the Living God for 30 years, he served God in many areas of ministry including usher, youth leader, deacon, and elder. Jimmy enjoyed surfing, fishing, being outdoors and being in the company of family and friends. The community will remember him by his warm smile and open heart.

He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father of four. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Although Jimmy has passed, he will have a special place in our hearts forever.
    
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at The Church of the Living God from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm,  3315 7 Mile Road, Galveston, TX 77554 with a Memorial Service following with Pastor Robert Dowdy officiating, .
  
Preceded in death by his father James L. Williams Jr., Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Deanna Williams; his mother, Jeri Williams of Baytown; sister Bonnie Hawks and husband Mitch of Baytown; brother Donald Williams and wife Alice of Galveston; sons Joel, David, and Matt; and daughter Hope; numerous other relatives and many, many beloved friends.
       
Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Williams, Mitch Hawks, Mark and Donna Girouard, Andrew Vargas, and Guy Guzman.
   
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Galveston West Isle Little League, 8250 Jones Drive, Galveston, Texas 77551.
