James Harrison Collins, Sr. “J.D.”

James Harrison Collins, Sr.James Harrison Collins, Sr., 58, departed this life on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at UTMB.

James was born on August 3, 1949, in Rayville, LA to K.C. and Loubertha Williams Collins. He attended public school in Rayville and was a graduate of Eula Britton High School. He was a retired maintenance worker with George Mitchell Properties and a member of the Macedonia church.

He was preceded in death by parents and two brothers.

He leaves with cherished memories, his wife, Zenovia Collins; sons, Jason Givens, James H. Collins, Jr.; daughters, Macye Collins; Terry Flowers; Jaleesa Givens; Janeice Collins; five grandchildren; brothers, Earl of Zion IL; Willis of Chicago, IL; sisters, Theresa; Luretha; Betty; Elaine; Mary Ann, and Annie all of Chicago, IL, and Mazie of Dolton, IL; devoted friends, Larry Moore and Mario Terevino; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor A.W. Colbert officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. There will be no visitation or wake service for James.
