Lisa Marie Gonzales age 44 of Galveston entered eternal rest, Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Monday, November 5, 2007 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home with the Reverend Sammy Alvarado officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm. Lisa was born May 23, 1963 in Galveston, Texas to Isaiais Isais and Ramona DeLos Santos Isais. She was a 1981 graduate of O’Connell High School and worked as a unit clerk at UTMB before being employed in child care. Lisa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a member of Speak the Word of Faith Church in Galveston. She was a compassionate person who cared for others. She was friendly to everyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and eating out at Luby’s and Happy Buddah. She will be sincerely missed by all whose lives she touched. Preceded in death by her parents, survivors include husband Victor Gonzales, Sr., daughters, Krystal Gonzales, and fiancé, Robert Lopez, and Stevie Gonzales, and fiancé, Juan Cervantes, Jr. ; son, Victor Gonzales, Jr., sister, Sally Yanes and husband Robert, grandchildren, Alexis Gonzales, Gabriella Lopez, Victor Rene Gonzales, III, and Adriana Lopez, and God Child, Carlos Mendez all of Galveston, sisters in law, Olivia and Sandra Gonzales, brothers in law, Henry and Mario Gonzales, numerous other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers are Juan Cervantes, Jr., Robert Lopez, Darrell Mayo, Mario Gonzales, Henry Gonzales, and Hayden Jaco. The family would like to thank Dr. Aristimuno, Dr. Beach and nurses, Joyce, Sharon and Dorothy who gave such wonderful care to our mother while Lisa was on Dialysis. Also a special thank you to Robert Lopez for providing loving care and to our family and friends for their love and support toward us. Thank you to the families and friends at Galveston Catholic School, Frost Bank for their caring support through this time. Memorials may be sent to Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in her memory.
