Freddie W. Meier

HITCHCOCK — Mr. Freddie W. Meier died on November 6, 2007, at the Gulf Health Care Center in Galveston. Freddie was born August 26, 1923, in Hitchcock. He was employed as an assistant engineer for Amoco Oil Company for over 41 years. Freddie served in the U. S. Army, 10th Armored Division, during World War II fighting in Germany where he was awarded three Purple Hearts. He served as a trustee of the Hitchcock ISD school board and as a member of the Hitchcock Youth Development Organization.

Freddie is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Willie Mae Meier and his brother, Harold N. Meier. His survivors are his wife, Bobbie L. Meier and his son, Freddie B Meier. Services are private and the family requests no flowers.
