Holiday Happenings
Holiday in the Park Parade
News Release
Wednesday, November 28, 2007

The stage has been set for another outstanding Holiday in the Park Parade, at 6 :30 p.m. on Saturday December 1.

Over 100 participants showed up for the pre-parade meeting at the Beautiful Butler Courtyard Building Tuesday Evening.

Janice Hallisey reports looks like the Clear Creek and Clear Springs High Schools will be competing for bragging rights with their Bands, Drill Teams and Cheerleaders. “How exciting for League City to have 2 great High Schools and they are all helping build community spirit that the Parade Organizing group League City Proud had hoped for.

This year we will be honoring Sandra Mossman, our retiring CDISD School Superintendent, Theater Under the Stars” production of “It’s a Wonderful Life”, which just happens to be the theme, this year.  David Paul, Channel 11 Weather Anchor of the morning show will be on hand as well.

There will be over 100 participants and over 50 floats and decorated cars and trucks.  Many local Churches and Civic and Service organizations are participating as well as eight Schools .

Janice Hallisey, Bette Specion, President of the League City Proud and Debbie Groce entertainment Chair say this will be the best year ever because “it’s a wonderful life” in League City.
