Carols, Cookies & Candy—All Part of Beaumont's Christmas Holiday Festival & Parade this Saturday, December 1st in Downtown!

Beaumont, Texas -- The Southeast Texas Arts Council is encouraging everyone to attend the Holiday Gospel Concert as part of Beaumont's Christmas Holiday Festival & Parade this Saturday, December 1st inside the Julie Rogers Theatre at 8:00 p.m.

Wrapping up the City of Beaumont's Holiday Festival & Parade is the Holiday Gospel Concert, presented in part by the Southeast Texas Arts Council.  The concert will feature: Our Mother of Mercy Gospel Choir, New Life Tabernacle Choir, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Choir, and soloist Taylor Cormier.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the door on the night of the event, cash only.  Prices are: Adults—$5.00, Children 12 and under—Free.  All proceeds benefit the Southeast Texas Arts Council.  For more information, contact the Beaumont Civic Center at (409) 838-3435.

Don't miss the other events included in The City of Beaumont's Christmas Holiday Festival & Parade! The festivities start with a Pancake Breakfast with Santa bright and early at 7:30 a.m.  After filling up on pancakes, the crowds can join in the 5K Jingle Bell Fun Run.  Registration for the event is located at Crockett Street and begins at 8:00 a.m.  Holiday shoppers can find something for everyone on their list at the Junior League's Very Merry Main Street Market inside the Civic Center. Cookie decorating and ornament making at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas provide holiday cheer for the kids.  Don't forget to bring them by to write a letter to Santa and put in the USPS official mailbox!  

Beaumont's Tree Lighting Ceremony with the Houston ASTROS begins at 5:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Art Museum of Southeast Texas.  The lighted parade will follow at 6:00 p.m. traveling down Crockett, Orleans and Pearl Streets.  The Patriot Guard Riders will lead the parade to excite the crowd followed by the Coast Guard Color Guard and the Lone Star Bagpipers.  The Houston ASTROS will be riding a two-tiered float illuminated with thousands of Christmas lights and wrapped in festive garland. The float is sponsored by AT&T and Neches Federal Credit Union.
