 Michael Wayne Pickney, 36, departed this life on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at his residence.
Mike was born July 20, 1971, in Galveston. He attended public school in Galveston and was a 1990 graduate of Ball High School. He attended Galveston College, where he received his certification as a welder. He was employed as a welder.
Preceding him in death was his uncle, Wayne Williams.
He leaves to cherish memories, his sons, Michael Wayne, Jr.; Rodian Dewayne; Seth Malik, and Jordan Michael Pickney; daughters, Michelle Waynay and MiKesah Pickney; stepdaughter, Attavia Milburn; parents, Louise Pickney and Jerry Garrett; brother, Nathan Pickney, Jr.; Jerry, Jr., and Dominique Garrett; sisters, Michelle and Janice Pickney; grandmother, Juanita Williams; devoted friend and mother of his sons, Tanisha Vanhorn; host of uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews other relatives and friend.
Viewing will begin at 9AM on Saturday, December 8th, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM in the chapel of E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary, with Rev. Kenneth Guidry officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
