Herbert Max Hendrickson

Herbert Max Hendrickson, 94, of Galveston, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007, at Gulf Health Care Center in Galveston.

 

The family will receive visitors after 4:00 pm, Tuesday, December 11th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 5:00 pm, led by Father John Bok, OFM.

 

Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 12th, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father John Bok, OFM, as Celebrant.  Father Neal Antle will con-celebrate.

 

Herbert was born February 1, 1913, in Galveston, Texas.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and returned to Galveston where he owned and operated Galveston Insect Pest Control until his retirement in 1985.  Herbert was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was the oldest living member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #48.

 

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Ida Hendrickson; brother, Raymond Hendrickson; niece, Janet Hendrickson; and sister-in-law, Marge Hendrickson.

 

Herbert is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Galveston; daughter, Nancy Sue Antle and husband, Bart, of Houston; nieces, Carla Chassaignac and husband, Charles; and Andrea Hendrickson; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 

Pallbearers will be Carl Frank, Adam Watson, Cyrus Wagner, Charles Chassaignac, Andy Solari, and Paul Grigg.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Solari, Pat Frank, Dow Solari, Jackie Solari, Bobby Grigg, and Jerry Gray.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1010 35th Street, Galveston, TX 77550, or to the charity of your choice.
