Manuela Osoria GonzalesManuela Osoria Gonzales, 88, passed away Monday, December 10, 2007, at UTMB.  Affectionately known as “Nena,” Manuela was born in Frontera Coahuila, Mexico on July 27, 1919 to Febronio and Dominga Osoria.

 

Nena was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Ramon Rodriguez Gonzales, Sr.

 

She is survived by her three sons: Raymond R. Gonzales, Jr. and wife, Marian; Frank Gonzales; and Richard Gonzales; grandson, Raymond Thomas Gonzales, Sr.; granddaughters: Tracy Lyons and husband, Michael; Roseann Cruz and husband, Jose; Nevia Essex and husband, Jeff; great grandchildren: Raymond Thomas Gonzales, Jr., Kayla Gabrielle and Brielle Isabella Lyons, Ava Grace Cruz, and Everett Essex; brothers, Robert Osoria, Sr. and wife, Nellie; Febronio Osoria and wife, Elva; Jose Angel and wife, Paulo; sisters, Rosalba Ybarra; Zulema Treadway and husband, Albert; Agapita Cabello and husband, Manuel; and Yolanda Garcia; and other special family members and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Wednesday, December 12th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 6:30 pm.

 

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Thursday, December 13th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Niall Nolan as Celebrant.  Burial will follow the service at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

 

Pallbearers will be Raymond T. Gonzales, Sr., Bobby Osoria, Anthony Campos, Johnny Leyva, Jose Cruz, and Fernando Robles.

 

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Gulf Health Care, as well as the nursing staff and Dr. Maltz and Dr. Hwang at UTMB Towers 10th Floor for their excellent care.
