Alice Jean MikulenkaAlice Jean Mikulenka passed from this life Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at her home.

Born July 22, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, Mrs. Mikulenka had been a resident of Arcadia for 50 years, previously of Alvin.  She had been a greeter at Wal-Mart for 15 years, was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time watching Wheel of Fortune and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 42 years, Edward Louise Mikulenka and her parents, Russell E. and Florence (Parker) Myers.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Lee of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Daryl Lee and wife, Nicole, Amber Lee Main; brothers, Russell Myers and wife, Bee, Frank Myers all of Lancaster, OH; sister, Shirley Flowers of Lancaster, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.

Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 570127, Houston, TX 77257.
