Carnes Brothers Funeral Home
Ricardo Ramos age 82 of Galveston passed away, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his home in Galveston. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Reina De La Paz Catholic Church, in Galveston, Father Ramon Arechua. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 pm.
Ricardo was born November 2, 1925 in Santo Domingo, Coahuila, Mexico to Antonio and Altagracia Ramos. He was a member of Reina De La Paz Catholic Church and a devoted family man. He was employed for over 35 years as a Longshoreman with the ILA.
Preceded in death by his parents, survivors include his wife of 52 years, Elva Ramos; daughter, Guadalupe J. Ramos and husband Eleazar Martinez; sons, Jesus A. Ramos and wife Maria, and Richard Ramos and wife Norma all of Galveston; sister, Juanita Ramos of Saltillo, Mexico; grandchildren, Jesus Ricardo Ramos, Richard Ramos, Jr., David Ramos, Antonio Ramos, and Alessandra Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be close family members.
