Jeanette Brumley
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Jeanette BrumleyOn October 16, 1949, a baby girl was born in Jasper, Texas, to the union of Willie F. Brumley and Leanna Brumley. She was the first-born child of their marriage. On Christmas morning 2007, she reached her final destination as she slept her way to her eternal home.
  
Jeanette attended G.W. Carver Elementary School in Jasper. After moving to Galveston in 1964, she attended Austin State School. She was a student for many years at Sunshine Training Center, where she met Sue Alex, who helped her tremendously. Jeanette later met Danny and Barbara Armond of Golden Rule Services, who also assisted her in many ways.
  
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie F. Brumley; sisters, Texanna Mitchell and Sandra Brumley; brother, Glenn Brumley; stepbrother, Clarence Brumley; and stepsisters, Lualla Battey, Jean McFarland, and Billie Dokins.
  
Left with cherished memories are Jeanette’s sister, Deloris Lewis (Henry) of La Marque, Texas; stepsister, Helen Domeaux of Beaumont, Texas; sister-in-law, Shelia Brumley of Houston, Texas; and devoted nieces, Sha’ron Brumley of Texas City and Glenda, Glenisha, and Glenetta Brumley, all of Houston; devoted nephews, Roger Brumley and Thomas Morris of La Marque and Shannon Brumley (Sonya) of Houston; other nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
  
A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Reedy Chapel A.M.E. Church, 2015 Broadway. The Revs. Reginald and Salatheia Honors will officiate, and the Rev. Arthur Ferguson, Jr. will serve as eulogist.
  
For the caring services they provided to Jeanette, the family extends thanks to Danny and Barbara Armond and their staff, and to Dr. Bruce Baethge, Dr. Nehme Alkara, his nurse Shelbi, other staff members, and Amed Home Health Care.
