Lee Dwight "L.D." YoungMr. Lee Dwight “L. D.” Young passed from this life Tuesday evening, January 1, 2008, at his home.

Born December 27, 1933 in Kilgore, TX, Mr. Young had been a resident of Santa Fe for 43 years, previously of Utah and Texarkana.  He had been employed as a supervisor for Amoco were he retired after 20 years of service, was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed music and spending time hunting and fishing.  He was an avid lover of animals and thoroughly enjoyed life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Dale and Georgia Ann Young and brother, Bob Young and is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Voncile Enfinger Young; son, Lloyd Bybee of Preston, Idaho, daughter, Debra Young Pankey of Gladewater, TX; step sons, Willie Enfinger of Rosharon, Earnest Ray Enfinger of Santa Fe, Joseph Randall Enfinger of Tampa, FL; step daughter, Toni Anders and companion, Carlos Sanchez of Alvin; 1 grandson; 1 great-granddaughter; sister, Elaine Morris of Texarkana, TX.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating.  A private cremation will be conducted.

Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.

Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the A-Med Hospice, 8901 Emmett F. Lowry Expy, Ste. B, Texas City, TX 77591.
