Elena Arcidiacono, 70, of Galveston, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008.

The family will receive visitors after 6:00 pm, Sunday, January 13^th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 6:30 pm, led by Tina Arcidiacono.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Monday, January 14^th, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Father Brendan Murphy, SVD, officiating.

Elena was born July 29, 1937, in Acitrezza, Sicily.  She came to Galveston in 1955 and was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Giovannina Arcidiacono.

Elena is survived by her husband, Guiseppe Arcidiacono; daughter, Lena Sifuentes and husband, Jesse; grandsons: Josef Aaron Sifuentes and Jesse David Sifuentes; brothers: Bartolo and Guiseppe Palumbo and family of Sicily; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Sam and Tina Arcidiacono; Alfio and Josephine Arcidiacono; and sister-in-law, Josephine Arcidiacono; special lifelong friend, Sarina Negrini; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sam Arcidiacono, Nunzio Arcidiacono, Joe Patane, Gilbert Sifuentes, and David Sifuentes.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Sifuentes Jr., Josef Sifuentes, and Jesse Sifuentes, III.
