George Edward "Eddie" Moores, Jr.
Mr. George Edward "Eddie" Moores, Jr. passed from this life Monday, January 14, 2008, at UTMB in Galveston.
Born July 15, 1955 in Galveston, TX, Mr. Moores had been a resident of Santa Fe for 13 years, previously of Houston, Florida and Virginia. He had formerly been employed as a carpenter with Slone Lumber Co. and for the past 2 ½ years had been a machinist working for Alfred Conhagen in La Marque.
Eddie served in the US Marines from 1976-1981, was a member of the West 14th
Avenue Baptist Church in Houston and enjoyed spending time riding motorcycles, fishing and boating.
He is survived by his mother, Mary E. Moores. His father, George Edward Moores, Sr. and brother, Dolphin James Moores preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating.
Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
