Kailynn Kevonne Boclair

Kailynn Kevonne BoclairKailynn Kevonne Boclair, 13, was born on February 9, 1994, in Galveston, Texas. She attended public school in Hitchcock, where she was a student at the Crosby Middle School, and was a member of the Lady Dawg volleyball and basketball team. “Kay Kay” as she was affectionately called by family and friends was a member of the youth department and youth choir at Greater Barbours Chapel Baptist Church.  She did various volunteer work in the community, and her hobbies included dancing and singing.  Her loving smile will be greatly missed. 

Kailynn’s life earthly journey came to a close on Monday, January 14, 2008.  She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Francis Shinette, and her great grandfather, Willie Guidry. 

She leaves with cherished memories her parents, Tessie Noel (Joseph) and Keith Boclair, Sr.; her siblings, Nicholas Noel, Harold Evans IV, Keith Boclair, Jr.; grandparents, Lois Guidry, Rev. Joseph Guidry, Ruby Boclair; great grandmother, Anna Day; uncles, Harold Evans III (Tasha), Nathan Evans, Sr. (Zykia), Kevin Earl, William Boclair, Rufus Boclair, Ken Boclair; aunts, Tasha Boclair, LaShonda Boclair (Rubin); special aunt Bessie Turner; godsister, Sa’niya; godmother, Bridgette Thomas; best friends, Kiera, Kayla, Lakia, Aaliyah; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will begin at 5PM on Sunday, January 20th, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 6:00 p.m. at the Greater Barbours Chapel Baptist Church, Texas City.  A service celebrating her life will be held Monday, January 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. also at the Greater Barbours Chapel Baptist Church, with Pastor James Brown, officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
