College of the Mainland Community Theatre
News Release
Tuesday, January 29, 2008

The Spitfire Grill, based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff, with music, book and Lyrics by James Valcq and Fred Alley is playinng at College of the Mainland Community Theatre though February 17.

Percy is a feisty young parolee who follows her dreams to a small town in Wisconsin and finds a place for herself at Hannah's Spitfire Grill. It is for sale, but there are no takers, so Percy suggests a raffle.

The entry fee is one hundred dollars and the best essay on why you want the grill is the winner. Soon, mail from around the world is arriving by the wheelbarrow full and things definitely start to cook at the Spitfire Grill! A soul-satisfying musical with soaring melodies and glowing honesty.
