Mardi Gras 2008 Shuttle, Bus and Trolley Information

GENERAL SHUTTLE INFORMATION:
Island Transit Mardi Gras Shuttle Service will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008.  Shuttles will run approximately every 30 minutes, departing from the Island Community Center located at 4700 Broadway.  Roundtrip tickets cost $4.00/person and will be available beginning Saturday morning at the center. 
 
VISITORS DRIVING IN OVER THE CAUSEWAY:
The Island Community Center Shuttle will pick-up and drop-off shuttle riders at 20th & Harborside, outside of the entertainment district.  Free parking is available at the Island Community Center.

VISITORS STAYING AT HOTELS ON THE EAST END:
Shuttle service will be available from the following hotels: The Galvestonian, Islander East, and Comfort Inn.  Pick-up and drop-off will be on 19th and Mechanic, outside of the entertainment district.  Shuttles will run approximately every 30 minutes.

VISITORS STAYING AT HOTELS ON THE WEST END:
Shuttle service will be available from the following hotels: The Commodore, Gaido’s, San Luis, Hilton, Casa del Mar, and The Victorian.  Pick-up and drop-off will be at 22nd and Harborside, outside the entertainment district.  Shuttles will run approximately every 30 minutes.
Please check with your hotel about directly purchasing shuttle tickets.

TROLLEY & BUS SERVICE GENERAL INFORMATION:
Trolley service will be suspended for the duration of Mardi Gras.
