Carolyn Darline McCowenCarolyn Darline McCowen, 62, of Galveston, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2008, 2008 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home with the Reverend Aaron Hrochovenia, officiating. Visitation will be held at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, in Galveston on Thursday, February, 7, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Carolyn was born in Fulton, Georgia on March 20, 1945 to William and Myrtle Rakestraw Johnson. She loved to do embroidary, watch TV and go to church. She was a member of Bread Of Life Church in Galveston, Texas.

Preceded in death by her parents she is survived by her husband, Sye McCowan of Galveston; daughters, Debbie Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia and Sandra Shirley of Galveston; grandson, Allen Frear  and granddaughter, Stacy Johnson; beloved dog, “Sassie”; special friends, Teresa Hrochovenia;  Bonnie, Ella Stanford and Pat; other relatives and friends.
