SANTA FE - Mrs. Glenda Faye Dearmond passed from this life Thursday morning, February 7, 2008, in Webster.
Born August 4, 1930 in Huntington, TX, Mrs. Dearmond had been a resident of Santa Fe for 57 years, previously of Huntington. She had been a homemaker and enjoyed spending time fishing, going to garage sales and tending to her plants and flowers.
Survivors include her husband of over 57 years, W. C. Dearmond; son, Kenneth Dearmond and wife, Priscilla of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Michelle Paukert and husband, Mark, Kent Dearmond and wife, Melissa, Gracie Dearmond; great-grandchildren, Jordan Evans, Emily Evans, Brayden Dearmond, Dylan Dearmond, Sammie Paukert; brother, Denny Ray Cook of California; sisters, Lou Wetzel of Santa Fe, Frankie Cook of Pasadena and Lennie Faye Grover of Lufkin.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Bohannon and Reverend Jonathan Lilley officiating. Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Kent Dearmond, Mark Paukert, Brent Travis, David Turner, Charles Walker and Mike Wetzel. Honorary bearers will be Jordan Evans, Barry Green and Parker Ramsey.
